FOREIGN LAWYERS

The Firm has a wide range of interesting legal work for clients ranging from SMEs to Fortune 500 Companies.

We are looking for law degree holders from reputable overseas universities who are qualified to practice in other foreign jurisdictions. Candidates must have obtained at least 5 years of experiences practicing in a foreign law firm or an in-house position with international firms. Our Foreign Lawyers take on advisory roles in foreign law matters and work closely with our partners.

We invite applications from highly motivated and committed individuals to join us as Foreign Lawyers.  The candidate will undertake corporate & commercial transactions, including cross-border dispute resolution and will practice other relevant international law in a foreign law firm.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work autonomously and will be responsible for the day to day management of the firm practice, under the supervision of our partners. The work is varied and involves the following:

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Draft and review contracts and other legal documents for cross-border transactions.
  • Provide legal opinions and recommendations on other relevant international law
  • Advise clients on various legal matters
  • Coordinate with clients on any other required processes
  • Supervise and train paralegals and junior lawyers
  • Provide any other legal and administrative support as required
  • Advising clients on their options to resolve business and contract disputes.
  • Drafting pleadings and expert reports.
  • Drafting and preparation of extensive and complex evidence in international arbitration.
  • Briefing and instructing expert witnesses.
  • Appearing in arbitral tribunals, including running interlocutory hearings.
  • Researching existing and prospective clients and market trends and opportunities
  • Maintaining deal databases for precedent, marketing, and business development purposes
  • Updating print and digital marketing materials and assisting with the development of content for proposals, presentations and pitch materials
  • Maintaining mailing lists for marketing and business development purposes and
  • Coordinating with key professional services firm directories and their researchers in scheduling and preparing submissions for league tables, legal directories, awards and industry guides.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Good academic results from a well-regarded university
  • Barrister-at-law will be an advantage
  • At least 5 years of experience working in an international law firm
  • Have strong analytical and communication skills
  • Energetic, service-minded and result-oriented
  • Strong verbal and drafting skills in English
  • Clear demonstration of the ability to work in a team and displays leadership skills
  • Proficiency in verbal and drafting skills in Mandarin, French, German and Russian is an advantage.
  • Willing to travel.

MID-LEVEL & SENIOR ASSOCIATE LAWYERS (Commercial & Corporate)

 

The firm has a wide range of interesting legal work for clients ranging from SMEs to Fortune 500 and to high net worth individuals.

We are looking for energetic corporate lawyers (Mid-Level or Senior) with a minimum of 3 years of experience keen to join our Bangkok office. Working alongside our partners you will have a unique opportunity to advance your career as you become exposed to the depth of knowledge and experience that can only be gained through advising a range of commercial clients across a range of sectors.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work autonomously and will be responsible for the day to day management of the corporate and commercial practice, under the supervision of a front-end partner who specializes in corporate and commercial work. The work is varied and involves the following:

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Draft and review contracts and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal due diligence
  • Conduct legal research
  • Provide legal opinions and recommendations
  • Advise clients on various legal matters
  • Coordinate with clients on any other required processes
  • Supervise and train paralegals and junior lawyers
  • Provide any other legal and administrative support as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 3 years of experience working in an international law firm
  • Have a strong background in contract drafting
  • Have strong analytical and communication skills
  • Capable of working independently and as a team member
  • Energetic, service-minded and result-oriented
  • Fluent in English
  • Computer literate
  • Proficiency in verbal and drafting skills in Mandarin, French and Russian is an advantage.
  • Willing to travel.

MID-LEVEL & SENIOR ASSOCIATE LAWYERS (Dispute Resulotion)

The Firm has a wide range of interesting legal work for clients ranging from SMEs to Fortune 500 Companies.

We are looking for energetic litigation lawyers with at least 3 years of experience keen to join our Bangkok office. Working alongside our partners you will have a unique opportunity to advance your career as you become exposed to the depth of knowledge and experience that can only be gained through advising a range of commercial clients across a range of sectors.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work autonomously and will be responsible for the day to day management of the litigation practice, under the supervision of a front-end partner who specializes in dispute resolution and insolvency work. The work is varied and involves the following:

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Advising clients on their options to resolve business and contract disputes.
  • Drafting pleadings and other court documents.
  • Drafting and preparation of extensive and complex evidence.
  • Briefing and instructing expert witnesses.
  • Appearing in courts and tribunals, including running interlocutory hearings.
  • Conduct of general civil claims.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Good academic results from a well-regarded university
  • Barrister-at-law will be an advantage
  • At least 3 years of experience working in an international law firm
  • Have a strong background in the court appearance
  • Have strong analytical and communication skills
  • Energetic, service-minded and result-oriented
  • Strong verbal and drafting skills in English
  • Clear demonstration of the ability to work in a team and displays leadership skills
  • Proficiency in verbal and drafting skills in Mandarin, French and Russian is an advantage.
  • Willing to travel.
